Khurda came out as the best district with a tally of 13 gold, 13 silver and 15 bronze medals in the State Women`s Sports Festival, which concluded at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar today. Cuttack finished second with a total of 18 medals (8 gold, 6 silver, 4 bronze), while Sambalpur occupied the third position with eight medals (5+2+1). Sports Department Secretary S C Patnaik gave away the prizes at the closing function.
